"While submerged in warm water you are having a similar experience to your baby. Water allows you to feel your baby, deepen your connection and co-regulate your vibration while developing a greater awareness of each other." I support a baby's entire birth journey from conception, pregnancy and birth with water. When these babies then come to the water for a water healing bath or a baby swimming class I have noticed tangible differences. There are a few ways to prepare your pregnancy and birth with water without needing a pool or expensive equipment. Aquatic perinatal therapist, newborn and baby swimming educator and birth doula Sophia Michalopoulou, shares briefly why she is fascinated by water and its capacity to support pregnancy and birth. Sophia began to remember her own birth journey while immersed in warm water and in this process began to see birth from a baby's perspective. She has combined many different professional skills to be able to support the entire birth journey with water.
